The piano in front of Pacey’s Pianos was designed by members of the Broadway Youth Resource Centre under the guidance of Katrina Stock.  The theme behind the design is  creativity.

The artists painted the pianos with black chalkboard paint and then added some permanent designs on top in bright pastel shades to represent the colours of chalk (pastel yellow, blue, green and white). The artists then intentionally left some parts of the piano open for passersby to draw on the piano with chalk throughout the summer so that not only will the piano encourage musical creativity, but also visual creativity for all ages.
